I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I LIVED IT.
I had a pretty good childhood, I got an education, a partner, and had a decent job, but still wasn’t as happy as I'd hoped.
I pretended to be confident but found myself constantly second guessing and obsessing over conversations I’d had at work and social gatherings.
I’d lay in bed stressing about everything I had to get done the next day, and fear that I’d inevitably make a mistake or drop the ball and disappoint someone in some way.
I bounced between the extremes of feeling awesome about myself one minute and like a complete fraud the next.
I wanted to freely be myself but instead tried to morph into who I thought people wanted me to be because I feared rejection.
I did things I really didn’t want to because I thought people wouldn’t love me if I didn’t do exactly what they wanted.
I worried. About everything.
I wanted more for myself and my life, but I was confused, and lost, and overwhelmed.
After years of trying to fill the voids, trying to feel whole, I learned how to change the reality of my world, by transforming on the inside.
The tools I learned to shift my thought patterns and default emotions began working, and I started seeing big changes in myself.
So I began using these same tools with my clients in my private counselling practice.
Like me, my clients were completely overwhelmed by the pressures of life.
They wanted to be liked, but also wanted to do what was important to them.
They wanted to feel more calm and grounded, but also feared they were never doing enough.
They wanted to be brave and bold, but also didn’t want to fail or be judged.
