1. They think people who don’t struggle with their mental wellbeing have a natural aptitude for handling life. And it’s too late for them to learn it.


It’s true that life comes easier for other people because they haven’t been through what you have. Or they’ve had more resources and support along the way.

2. They think because they’ve done therapy or coaching and it didn’t really help; their problem is unfixable.

That’s because therapy lets you understand your emotions, but it doesn’t offer tools to help you change them, or how to show up in your life differently.

Besides, even if you’re seeing a therapist once a week, so much happens in-between sessions. It’s hard to update them AND still have time to get the transformational work done in 50 minutes.

Read that one again. Most people don't even consider that everything they’re worrying about — might not need to be worried about.

Q: How long should I stay in the Shift Society?
